How do you screen and approve Community Experts?

To ensure a high level of quality, we have set criteria that every community expert should qualify. Here are the criteria that applicants should satisfy to become a community expert:

  • Their Unity Connect profile is complete, so that we can validate their skills and past projects.
  • They have at least two years of experience working in Unity.
  • They fulfil at least one of the following requirements:
    • They are an Intermediate, Advanced, or Expert Unity user
    • They have been a Unity Pro account holder for at least six months
    • They are an Asset Store publisher with at least one published Asset rated 4 stars or above
  • They fulfil at least one of the following requirements:
    • They have posted answers on the Unity Forums
    • They have answered questions on Unity Answers
    • They have a Github account with valid projects
    • They have active StackOverflow account which you use to provide solutions on Unity specific problems.
  • They have passed an expert assessment conducted by Unity.
