I cancelled my subscription but I am still being charged


  • I have cancelled my subscription in the Unity Online Store
  • I have received a new invoice
  • A new payment has been taken from my bank account


If you are still within your 12 month contracted Subscription, you will not be able to cancel through the Online Store.


If your subscription (purchased before June 28th 2016) has come to the end of its contracted 12 months, you can cancel by following this process:

1. Go here
2. Log in to the account attached to the subscription
3. Go here
4. Click "My Account"
5. Click "Manage Subscription"
6. Click the cancel subscription check box.

Please note: if your contract is not yet over, this process will not work.

    I did this about 6 months ago and it says that my subscription has been canceled but I still have been charged monthly, I expect a full refund, due to this. Also, I even haven't been able to use the Plus version that I have been forced to pay for every month even though I canceled the subscription.

    Same problem here, I was using the Trial version just to test, then even cancelled my account and still they use my credit card number (the one i put for TRIAL version) and made an automatic charge to a PRO account with out asking.

     No answers from tech support …

    It’s good to hear that I’m not the only one with the same problem… and sad at the same time, and I want a refund too.

    I purchased a one off tutorial in Unity in 2017. Without noticing, or an authorisation on my part, a ongoing subscription came into action. I cannot determine where this originated - my Paypal account has been hacked, but it seems this stealth subscription is an aspect of Unity.
    NOT happy - studying games design but not happy to transfer my income to you without permission. The one response I got from the help was totally useless, then, no replies. I had to go to Paypal to have them investigate where the breach in my financial security came from - looks like Unity are using some very low practices - Unreal Engine for me now, I only hope Paypal can manage to reclaim my unauthorised fund transfers to Unity for over a year!

    Thank you for reading this post. I signed up Unity Plus and the payment plan is $35 monthly. Recently, I plan to cancel this subscription but am unable to find such plan in my Unity account.

    Can you please look into my account and cancel this subscription?
